Nostr apps as a whole need to get better at facilitating relationships via content and user discovery. People want to engage and connect with each other. We want to build relationships. We want to share ideas, information, and creativity. To do this effectively, users here need better tools.

Yeah.. relays need to help more.. ⚡
Relays can only help if clients are capable if facilitating what they can do. There's a bunch of interesting relays already that don't receive much activity because interacting with/on them is limited to 4-5 clients, none of which are the big 4. Unleash relay developers & operators from the follow feed & that would unlock uncountable possibilities.
If relay developers and operators were less dependent on limited client capabilities—especially the model focused just on follow feeds—this could foster a much wider pool of interactions, experiments, and decentralized utilities.
Encouraging direct relay interaction (via APIs, open standards, or plugins) and lowering the friction for new client development could help realize the "uncountable possibilities" you mentioned—driving a richer and more vibrant ecosystem overall. (Maybe)
And more people to use what is already here

i edit from time to time on Amethyst, but since not all clients show the edits it's not overly useful. it's mostly only for myself.
we need more feed choices / feed marketplace / dvms that are brought front and center. primal does it best.

Are there any geolocation tools that can cluster users together geographically?
I know this has to do more with relays, but ever since I updated Amethyst I don't see people's posts and I wonder if they see mine sometimes. I switched to nostrudal and realized I missed a few posts I was literally tagged in and replies to me directly.
Its hard to facilitate relationships if you're not able to have a proper connection in the first place. Not sure what the best solution is.

Steal my idea: generate label notes with on device AI models based on text and media at time of post.
Run a simple local algorithm to determine user interests and show the right content. Store user data in a way that users can manually export/import algo prefs.
People overcomplicate algorithmic feeds. I think TikTok does so well because it probably has an unexpectedly simple algorithm compared to Instagram/X
Maybe it’s just me, but it does feel like discoverability on nostr is harder than other social media platforms. If someone doesn’t already have an established follower base, it can be hard to grow a community
