Hivetalk is audio/video/text but also has screen sharing.
Both have zapping within the app and I think they both have a "follow all" option. I know cornychat does.

I've used both and am often in a cornychat with others. You should drop in some time.
We (the same usual group I talk to in cornychat) occasionally use Hivetalk if we're wanting to show movies or whatever to each other.
If hivetalk does audio and all the other stuff. Why do you use corny chat? Is it better for audio only? 🤔
Honestly, I think I'm just more comfortable with corny. We do occasionally run into bugs in both but Vic is also almost always there to test and fix, etc.
Can you drop uploaded movie files or YouTube links into hivetalk to embed and sync watch? Or is it like an OBS thing?

I think it's more like an obs kinda thing. I haven't really used the video feature much myself.

AFAIK, Hivetalk lets you share your screen or tab for video. So you could have one person basically login to netflix/yt/whatever in a tab, and then choose to stream whatever is in that tab w/ audio attached to everybody.
It has a zero-log policy so the only thing the devs are even aware of is the name of the room I think but *nothing* that happens within.

There's heaps of new features which can also be added if you just throw them into the issues of the github 😄 If the feature is something you're going to use and is useful, the chances are that BITKARROT will implement it.
honestly, I would explore both sites and really have a play around. It's pretty cool with streaming zaps and video conferencing over nostr being a reality now!

Using https://metadata.nostr.com to backup/restore your profile stuff at all? I make all my profile updates through that and they seem to spread to the relays better than other platforms/clients.
Absolutely no idea how to restore the backup though from metadata 😅😂
Yep. I backup regularly. This recent incident was a client that erased my profile name and info. It was a bit odd

#hivetalk is better for both audio and video. But, it has been around for only a month, the other audio spaces have been around a little longer so people are familiar with them. I created hivetalk as there were no video/screenshare spaces available on nostr before then. You can also set hivetalk to broadcast mode for larger audiences, there are also many other features you can explore
Nice, I'll have a proper look. Sorta looking for somewhere to have a community playlist of movie files, YouTube/archive.org full movie uploads. With sync watching in groups. Basically Cytube on nostr lol. Not sure anything does this🤔
