Vaccines in the case of true gluten intolerance IMO and I have come across a theory that in some it may be more the glysophate than gluten. In addition to being sprayed while growing, typical commercially available wheat is sprayed with it after harvest as a desicant so it all has a fresh coating of poison.
Discussion
I started hearing more about gluten intolerance around 10-12 years ago. I have a tendency to read a lot of research papers and it struck me that this was not long after researchers found out that spraying crops just before harvest could boost yield as it caused the plants to go into shock and put more energy into the kernel growth. Prior to that, last spray was around 3 months before harvest to ensure no residual toxin.
Sounds about right to me.
Sounds very plausible, but maybe GM grain and GM yeast can also play a role.
For sure. Complex issue but there was something I read not so long ago that finally lit the bulb for me. Gut microbiome is extremely important for health and immune system. Intolerances are connected to immune system. Glysophate has now been proven to impact bacteria in the the gut. It seems to make a fairly rational picture but agree more research reeuired
I agree completely with the importance of a healthy gut microbiome. I'll look into the effects of glyphosate on gut bacteria. I can't eat commercial bread at all; I develop a skin rash on my forearms. So, I'm experimenting with sourdough bread baked with wild yeast, and so far, I'm not developing the skin rash.
I've observed that initiating a sourdough starter is challenging with many flours claiming to be unbleached. I'm curious if glyphosate could be a factor, potentially harming the natural yeast and bacteria.
