I mean, Iād make it a tiny fee. The only reason this one is paywalled is because I have a lot of free stuff upcoming. In general the paywall system is clunky. For people like me itās a net plus, but I donāt like that I have to limit how many people read some things, and obviously readers donāt like that either.

Thatās actually the whole appeal of lightning, is making it affordable (with little or no fees) for a lot of us to chip in for your work. This is the right platform, we just gotta get the infrastructure finished.
Itāll be great to support your work 500 sats at a time, personally. Itāll add up with readership.
Instant, frictionless transaction.
The paywalls dream
Thatās fair. Itāll be interesting to watch how āValue 4 Valueā plays out for independent journalism on here. I think itāll be huge.
I sent a DM Matthew. One last effort on considering our offer to join our Nostr Nest live show this Friday.

Consider republishing paywalled articles here via habla. Only nostr folks will see it and do an experiment to see how well we tip! ā¤ļøš
I've been a subscriber to your substack for a couple years. Iām happy to support your fighting the good fight and doing real journalism. Also more a supporter of protocol over platform and so very grateful to be able to keep up with what you are doing via nostr rather than twitter or substack's yet-another-new-social-platform.
I don't think independent journos are going to break through until someone like Substack can let non wealthy people create a stable of journos they like and give 10 of their work for 10 bucks a month. Idea being Substack brings in 10 or 100 million new low-paying subscribers and they sort their news for $10/month tops. People like you and Glen etc are rare exceptions who can find that audience based on previous hard work. But the 10 journos at 10 bucks model is perfect for 5 up-and-coming journos bundled in with a couple of you and Glens. ok ok, this is starting to sound like subprime mortgage lending, but I think it makes sense to most people who aren't on NY/Silicon Valley wages. (Love your work, god speed)
