People are leaving because of the spam, and the outbox model might be making it worse. We’ve always blocked spammers, so something odd is definitely happening.

how would the outbox model make it worse? with outbox, everyone could run their own relays. it seems that spam is mostly only hitting the large public relays. outbox would mostly solve all of this, imo.
Yeah, most of the people with a clue see hardly any spam, anymore. And that usually only because a real person they follow insists on following back obvious spammers.
