Can you run knots on Start9?

It says it’s installed and I had it installed for months now but click installed it takes me back to bitcoin core tab.

So is it actually installed or what?

Was wondering the same thing, new to start9.

Did this the other day and it worked for me..

If you already have Core installed, to install Knots you should:

In the StartOS System tab, click the “Manage” heading 5+ times to enable developer mode.

Click “Reinstall” on Knots in the Community Registry.

If you get a notification claiming the install failed. Don’t worry, it succeeded. You just need to open Knots config and click “Save”.

Knots is now installed instead of Core. There no need to resync, and all dependent services should be happy.

Ah, ok. Thank you for letting us know!

Just did the steps and it worked😊

Thanks!

Thank you so I'm Gucci then ?

I’m working through this now. Seems like you install Core and then convert it to knots. BTC Sessions did a tutorial on his YouTube channel that really explains it well for a Start9.

That is not correct. You don't need to install Core first. I started with Knots and never touched Core.

Ok- thanks for clarifying that. Maybe I misunderstood, and it was because I had core installed already, it used that as a starting point.

Yes, you can run BitcoinKnots on your Start9 Server. I run it exclusively on my server.

Here is a guide on how to switch to Knots if Core is already installed.

Hope that helps!
