Just ordered! We love supporting a great business with natural products who appreciates Bitcoin payments! Keep the great work!
So far, the best use case I’ve had is where I give it some text (like an article or something) and prompt it to summarize or write “resume bullet points” about it. Things where I like the wording it suggests but I know the content well enough to spot inaccuracy. I know it’s improving, but still. The best description if heard of using LLMs is to treat it like a very eager but inexperienced research assistant. It’s more than willing to go find info and do what it thinks you want, but it doesn’t yet know if what it’s giving you really makes sense (or if it’s giving your assignments to someone else…).
Raw milk with Secretary Kennedy!

I wish rules against “raw” milk would end. Mark the bottle as unpasteurized and let the market decide.
It’s amazing when you know the AI answer is wrong but it states it like it’s a simple fact. In my experience, if I then tell the model its answer is wrong, it will agree with me that it’s wrong and proceed to give another answer that’s just as wrong as the first. But people who don’t know will just trust the response.
One step at a time. Real food from ranchers and farmers. Real skills. Real money. Real relationships. Its helps when we find others in the world to be able to support and strengthen each other.
I’m looking for better natural options for deodorant and toothpaste. Haven’t found an option I love for either yet, so I’d be interested if you had an offering for either.
While we’re at it, can I go my current job and volunteer, and let them tip me at the end of the day?
I used their debit card years ago when the rewards were great and on everything I was buying. But honestly, I don’t like debit cards- having to load up with money to let it sit there and earn nothing. I’d rather have it at river getting 3.8% in BTC. I’m more likely to use the fold credit card- but it really needs to be competitive with other rewards cards. I’m better off upping my DCA and using a different card.
I feel like it’s a goal to strive for, but seems to be a spectrum. More sovereign or less sovereign. Our family is taking steps to be more sovereign, and encouraging like minded people we know to do the same. Keep leading by example, and others will notice. I think since 2020 a lot of people are way more open to self-sovereign options, but you’re right that status quo can be hard to overcome.
How about River or Strike can hold some of my cash, vs Chase holding my bitcoin?
As if cents/pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars is more logical? We get taught counting money and currency from kindergarten, and we get used to it. We are all capable of thinking in sats.
Totally agree. And you hit on the other big one- “investing in Bitcoin”. We need to normalize “saving in Bitcoin” instead.
Thanks- I’ll try it! Usually for streaming I leave a space between the bottom of the pot and the food, like with a steaming basket. Seems like with shrimp you don’t need to- you just have them right down in the bottom of the pot. I’m definitely interested to see how these turn out.
Do you remember buying a tape or cd, and being excited to see all the song lyrics written inside? Looking back, I’m sure some of those songs didn’t make a ton of sense- but some did. And knowing your fans would get that new album and listen all the way through and look at the lyric sheet must have meant something. I don’t think I would know more than two consecutive lines of any song in the past 10 years. But I could go line by line on songs from the 90s that never even got on the radio…
Just added it.
Just listened to your interview on Bitcoin Not Crypto. Thanks for the explanation. I, for one, need long form discussions and not short tweets to make any sense of this stuff. Moving to Knots now.
If it helps, nostr:nprofile1qqspnzgrfett3asxcuj0gksje6z2zxzpvgd27uvz58m9vsuqh8zzw6cprdmhxue69uhkvet9v3ejumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtm5dah8jqgkwaehxw309aex2mrp0yh8qunfd4skctnwv46q2agekf did a very helpful tutorial on this on his you tube channel. It made a lot more sense to me how core and knots interfaced on Start9 after watching that.
This is one of my FUDs… I would say I’m a hobbyist. I listen to podcasts, got a start9 running Bitcoin core (maybe going to knots), a couple home miners- but I’ve got a full time fiat job and will never be in the code enough to know if I should just take an update or switch to something else. For better or worse, I will ultimately rely on a “trusted” persons opinion. I could name a handful of people who I’d likely trust on this- and maybe they wouldn’t even want that responsibility of knowing the sway their opinion will likely have. I’ll admit I wasn’t here for the block size wars, but with so many voices out there today with their own incentives and various platform reach, I worry about the risk that can be introduced without understanding it.
