For those who run custom Android ROMs like GrapheneOS, remember that this will likely affect you indirectly. Anything you send to a stock Google Android user will be scanned.
And if Apple hasn't already done this, they'll be the next target.
🚨BREAKING: Google will soon install an app called #AndroidSystemSafetyCore
They say it's a "safety measure" to protect your #privacy, but in fact it's client-side scanning.
Yet, we all know that client-side scanning is bad: https://tuta.com/blog/eu-client-side-scanning
Deinstall the app on your #Android: System -> Apps

Just like email. You shouldn't be sending anything sensitive in this way.
Client side scsnning can read things sent over Signal, Matrix, Nostr DMs or any of the two dozen other secure messsging programs.
There's no private way to send anything to anyone who has client side scanning
That's what I'm saying
You said you shouldn't be sending anything sensitive "in this way". What way did you mean?
Well, if you're life depends on it, via e2e text to a phone if you're not sure the person and the phone/os they run. Never by email. Maybe email with pgp but even then you don't know what kind of system it will be opened on. If it's truly a matter of your personal security, the only way I would send anything electronic would be encrypted to a trusted source with a known os/device.
Found and deleted that shit...
Inundemos el mundo de Graphene OS.

Normies are the weak link. It's hard enough to get them to run Signal. Getting them away from Android and iPhone will be next to impossible.
This isn't even about fringe "if your life depends on it" communication. Without privacy, there is no free thought, the prerequisite for freedom.
