No. Your food choices where shit and you choose to misplace blame.

It's very easy to eat well here

It's very easy to find edible plants in a forest if you simply don't eat what's inedible.

Seriously, there's so much garbage in America that's marketed as healthy, you're not going to find what's healthy unless you get a second job scouting out seed oils, ultra processed garbage, low nutrient soil, poorly fed livestock, etc. just to order a burger and fries at a diner.

Very much agree with this!

It's dead simple to eat well here. We have ample organic fruits, veggies and grass fed beef. Free range chicken and eggs. You can find these in any grocery store in any state in any city or small town.

Yes you can find crap food...so what? You aren't required to eat or buy any of it. We all know good and well what is healthy or not.

I stand by my statement. We have great quality food here if you want it.

I think there is truth in both of your perspectives and / or experiences. My assumption is that Carla originally is from somewhere in Europe and that you are American?

I’m from Europe and my experience if you go to buy groceries from the well-known chains the quality is pretty poor in comparison to what is offered in Europe. I agree with you that we choose to go there but keep in mind that the ratio of European income vs US expenditure is quite high.

So our choices are possibly influenced by what we can spend

For me it’s more than just the price, but you’re correct. I went to my local organic farmers market today and stocked up on veggies, fruits, meat, eggs & dairy for the week for two people and spent €120.

Thats how much I was spending for a couple of things labeled grass fed and organic at the store in the US.

Yes I can relate.

Fair point. The cost of living is higher here, but then so is the average income and wealth of Americns vs Europeans. It's relative.

Easy assumption to make when you don’t know how I eat and choose my food.

Besides costs, you forget that there’s undeniable differences between the food on the US and America. Glyphosates, soil health and water, air quality, availability of food options, seed oil prevalence… overall food quality.

Ask anyone that’s ever traveled to and lived in both countries and they’ll tell you the same thing.
