We used to be DBU (defensive back university) not sure what has happened to our defense over the last few years thoš¤¦š½āāļøā¦ losing Dave Aranda as a D coordinator didnāt help

They definitely know how to develop WRs. My guess is that the position is just more important now so they donāt prioritize DBs.

Bringing in Brian Kelly as our head coach has been a bit of a disaster so farš³ā¦ heās not great with the players or coordinators and coaches and has been disastrous for our defenseš¤¦š½āāļøā¦ also his in game decision making has been pretty suspect š¤Ŗ
He does have one of the best portal classes in the ncaa for next year but weāve had a lot of top rated talent during his 3 disappointing seasons so farā¦ so weāll seeš¤
I donāt follow college football haha I just wait for the players to go pro. Itāll be interesting to see what bill Belichick does at the college level now. That move surprised me.
Yupā¦ Iām not sure how his style will translate to ncaa footballā¦ kinda like Nick Sabanās style didnāt translate well to the Dolphins in the nfl
Also recruiting to the ACC is not easy unless ur Clemsonā¦ of course with the rule changes re the transfer portal (in my opinion this was pretty much just trying to Saban proof the ncaa which had turned into Nick Sabanās (Alabamaās) private playgroundā¦ I hate him cuz he left LSU but heās clearly the GOATš¤·š½āāļø) and the NIL money players will be team hopping like their in 12 yo select/tournament baseballā¦and if anybody can figure out how to take advantage of that itās prolly ol BillyBelichickš

I watched him throughout his career, heās awesome. Injuries really held him back from being so much better.
Tru datā¦injuries and a suspect attitude at times but he was a talented kid with a flair for incredible playsā¦kinda like Tyrann Mathieu on defense (another LSU boy)

He was absolutely electric when he was at LSUā¦Iāve never seen a defensive player at any level with better instincts for attacking the football and creating turnoversā¦.it was surreal to watch
Ed Reed exists come on now. Heās the best defensive player ever!
Tru datā¦Ed Reed at the U was a beastā¦ both he and mathieu are listed on ESPNās top 25 players of the 21st century but Mathieuās stats are based on a 2 year career compared to Reedās 4 yearsā¦also Mathieu was a fumble causing and recovering beast (this was lacking in Reedās incredible ncaa career)ā¦ both incredible players but imo Mathieu was the more versatile and explosive ncaa playerā¦ Ed Reed was bigger and translated better to nfl game although Mathieu despite numerous injuries (didnāt have the prototypical nfl body size) has been pretty solid
Matthieu was a corner I think so he played closer to the line of scrimmage. I think if you listened to the way coaches would talk about Reed, youād see that it was more than just stats for them. At least at the pro level. Reed was the leader on defense and would pick the plays and make adjustments on the field. His greatness was unfairly overshadowed by Ray Lewis.
Tru thatā¦that ravensā defense, the 1985 bears defense and the Miami defense from the u defeated season were special
