I’m just concerned why this is something people are celebrating. The government now has a financial interest in confiscating people’s bitcoin for suspected crimes.

State theft legalized. Celebration is madness.

Absolutely insane

They always had this incentive man, they hoard everything they confiscate even cocaine from the 80s 🤣.

Don't worry about others' viewpoints - worry about predicting outcomes.

The better you get at predicting the next move(s) of the state aparatus the more free you become.

Most Bitcoiners are flailing in the wind of news cycle chaos.

You don't have to, and that's what individual sovereignty is all about.

That’s true they could always do that. Maybe an overreaction but I fear that when Bitcoin pumps, they’ll want more of it because they have a reserve.

This is a little different. They take assets from criminals but civil asset forfeiture allows them to take assets from people suspected of crimes without a conviction. I know they already kinda did this but it’s a bad precedence.

If you don't end up reading the whole thing, scroll to the bottom and read about the fair act.

Here's a link to track it's progress.
