How many people are living where they choose to, sure of the fact that it is where their best opportunities lie

Vs

Living somewhere by default because it’s “where they grew up” and going through the same motions of the previous generation

I've travelled a good portion of the US and western Europe, along with a few other countries. I've been to the tropics and the acrtic.

Growing up, I never thought that, as an adult, I would continue to live near where I grew up.

I've only seen two places more beautiful than the paradise where I was born. People come here and marvel at the surroundings. Some drop all plans and become residents immediately.

I chose to live where I grew up.

True wealth! Now I want to know where 👀

What I love about that is perspective. That’s what travel gives you. People do things differently, and that’s ok. But once you have these additional view points, if you end up where you started, as you explained, you can be very confident that any “grass is greener” thought is nonsense

🙏🏻

My wife would be living in Brisbane if she hadn't met me. Not sure if that's good or bad 😂

We're going to be multi domicile, will always want to spend time in the UK if feasible, but enjoying the prospect of a new home as yet to be decided.

Probably Malta if the world clams down.

Don't need opportunity, just a nice place to live and a fast Internet connection.

Great point re opportunity. Opportunity is cyber space, online, internet based business and investing, Btc, Nostr etc. So totally digital

This means you can ask yourself, “if I can do this from anywhere, why am I here, and do I want to be somewhere else?”

I think multi-location living would work well if setup properly, follow the sunshine

Would love to hear your take on Malta and the alternatives

The fund that nostr:nprofile1qqs9kuz7djmqysjuqxfq9hg8pgxqpxcyptqejc8waukc4ratyhq7legpramhxue69uhkummnw3ez6un9d3shjtnyd9nkjarpd3kk7c3wwfhszxthwden5te0wp6hyctkd9jxztnwdaehgu3wd3skueq4093ta has launched, with BTC and Ego Death as the portfolio, and Portuguese residency is very interesting

But it doesn’t solve the “where do I actually want to spend my time?” Question…

Some thinking to be done!

We've now spent time in most of the regions we are considering and while Northern Spain would be our spiritual home, I am looking for Bitcoin adoption and a good tax regime.

Malta ticks that box.

Barbados is a quick and easy exit, to obtain tax residency, I like the place so will probably spend some time there.

We will also be doing some VERY long holidays, including renting a motorhome to travel across the Australian outback.

I'm also pondering a world cruise, but not sure I can last 6 months on the same boat 😂

Was in Lisbon a month ago spending time with a friend doing the digital nomad thing. He is actually resident there and not liking the place, I've never been drawn there and am less so now. Nothing wrong with it, just don't feel that homely feeling when I'm there.

Will also be spending a lot of time in Asia, but more of a visitor than a resident, for now, at least.

Also just saw nostr:nprofile1qyt8wumn8ghj7ct5d3shxtnwdaehgu3wd3skueqpp3mhxue69uhkyunz9e5k7qpqtdc9um9kqfp9cqvjqtwswzsvqzdsgzkpn9swamed3286kfwpaljsklkxan is located in Madeira, which we also very much love. Was there a couple of months ago, found a lot of Bitcoin merchant adoption in Funchal 💪

I live exactly where I wish and how I wish.

Did not grow up even close to here.

Living the dream by God's Grace.
