Yee, I hear this all the time when discussing this with people. Their invested time in Bitcoin consists of reading msm articles. They don't know anything about PoW, the halving, decentralization. They actually think if banks collapse they'll get their money back.
Some countries do have a special fund for this, but when this will happen, it's a matter of time,, a domino effect is probable and people will lose all their 'money' in their account.

Bitcoin is an unhackable, uninflationable, corruption free ledger backed by energy. Compare that to the inflationable, hackable, corruptable mess called fiat backed by violence.
How are they going to ask about bitcoin, if the majority doesn’t even know how fiat money is created, where it comes from and what gives it value? They think it is tied to gold and complex GDP numbers of real value behind.. grasping that its all a scam is too hard to comprehend, and/or accept. Surely there must be something shiny behind the whole scheme..
