Would haven run well on a rented VPS? Are there any special hardware or performance requirements?

Yes but where's the fun in that

It's fun when it works. If I want a high-availability relay server backed by service-level agreements and guaranteed uptime, a leased VPS is probably the best, most economical solution. I've got a few spare machines I could hook to my home internet and run a reverse proxy on, but I prefer the idea of running a competent server out of data center with redundant hardware and connectivity. Call me crazy ðŸĪŠ

I have it running successfully in docker on the cheapest VPS I could find. 1 GB RAM, 1 CPUs, 15GB SSD Storage. Comfy. Same VPS also runs my Albyhub with Phoenixd.
