I’ve been staring at the question for a good 5 minutes now. And I am puzzled.

How would you answer this question?

It’s a hard question isn’t it? Makes you think about who you listen to and why.

As someone else said, I guess it would depend on the subject.

I find myself often coming back to things Jeff Booth has said because I don’t think I have fully grasped them.

It really is. I felt my brain was dividing by zero.

I personally feel fascinated by everyone.

Always everyone has something that is beyond my knowledge that I find insightful.

Me. Sometimes YouTube

#jack actually

Not all of us are going to make it 🤷‍♂️ 🤣

I listened to Balaji when he was sounding the alarm on covid and stocked up on everything a month before people started freaking out and the toilet paper ran out. I’ll probably be listening to him again whenever Mandibles happens. He’s not right on everything, but he sure does know more than most people and can break things down and explain them well.

If a person makes many predictions, some of them are bound to come true. We pay attention to the things that come true and ignore all the things that don’t, which gives is a skewed view of that person.

Of course I’m not dismissing his intellect (it’s clear he’s very smart) and his ability to look into the future based on insights he has or gathers. But my point stands. No disrespect meant.

I don’t know if there is one person who is a “know-it-all”. My brother is one of the smartest people I know and everytime we catch up, I learn something new. We can have very in-depth conversations on political ideologies and history, science, general knowledge (and he is the only one who can keep up with my geekiness) and we can have really simple ones - like the other day, I realized the only Trump I will support is Judd Trump. But try having a conversation on colors and you get nowhere. Jack is also smart. I pick up something new with each of his talks - he drops high level clues to get people thinking - like the whole open source ecosystem. Of late I realized that many that I thought were smart were just people who bragged a lot, and sold themselves really well and because I didn't know enough at that point I was impressed. I think it helps to be really curious about things and see what feeds your curiosity - you can learn something new from anywhere.

The most insightful - can't honestly say but Mark Passio has blown my mind a few times. His Natural Law lectures are superb. As well as this one:

Two Masks, Same Face: The Dark Occult Origins Of Nazism & Communism
