swiss-style direct democracy along with federal structures is the solution if you ask me... then you don't need a "leader"... an efficient administrator would be enough... but of course this won't happen easily as it requires elites to give most power to the people

You have some countries that get close, but still no cigar. I believe if humanity is to truly thrive we need to take inspiration from around the world. See what works and what does more harm than good Then apply new methodologies, philosophies, and moral idealologies that provide for maximum freedom and self reliance in harmony with minimal negative impact on nature to strike an ecological balance without too many sacrafices like the loony climate change activitists want. Finding the happy medium ground. With minimal interference from any form of governing bodies. If they are even determined to be necessary at that point.

- i think the same and i am curious about the Swiss democracy structure that i take as an example of a possible progress for any other democracies. I don't think it is the perfect one, but it seems to be the one who give the most voice to people and respect their opinion and needs. You ever can open a referendum about some subject if you are enough people for that. It is just how it should be in other democracy.

yeah, i am also frequently wondering why some people - even freedom-oriented ones - have a rather positive opinion on authocratic governance forms such as dictatorships or monarchies.
besides the referendum system, the swiss model has an additional feature i like: the primate of politics. there are very few topics in which judges can overrule the people's decisions.
of course, the swiss model cannot be simply transferred to other countries. each nation has its own particularities. nonetheless, in my opinion, a democracy which does not allow its citizens to constantly control and in case necessary overrule its politicians by direct democracy, is not a complete democracy.
one thing that people tend to overlook: the suiss people did not get their political system for free, or at once. it was an incremental process during which a lot of people died in several waves of revolutionary uprisings. the ruling class conceded their power only under pressure and slice by slice to the people.
