Barry was always my favourite chuckle 😍😍
Once upon a time Barry chuckle dressed in a dog costume beat me up im Blackpool...
The chuckle brothers started out with Chucklehounds, which I loved.
When I was a small child I went to see a panto in Blackpool which stared the Chucklehounds (this is before chucklebrothers).
After the panto kids were allowed to go have a photo with Chucklehounds. .. I was a very small child (3-4), and thought they were real dogs. I went up on stage all excited to meet them.
One of the Chucklehounds picked me up, his hands like iron talons, and plonked me on his knee for a photo. The dog squeezed my little Ben arms so much I had bruises for a week. I was screaming in pain, tears streaming down my Ben cheeks. I looked up at the dogs face. Inside the dogs mouth I could see Barry Chuckles sweaty moustachio face smiling manicaly looking down at me.
I thought this was a lovely gentle dog off the tele! Now it was a violent child beating dog that had a human inside it.
True story.
My God, too much beauty! They do look happy though...
Dude, that's a very unique and strange experience. To have that memory, seemingly so clearly, from 3 or 4 years old. I can't get my head around a child's world being interrupted in that way. At that age, it must have been a Twilight Zone experience, proper weird.
