Very impressed with the airpods max. sounds great, airpod-quality noise cancelling, very comfortable, especially for people with bigass monkey ears like me. Haven’t had a decent pair of headphones in 10 years so decided to splurge. pricey but worth it.

Yes. I held out on principle due to price until a couple of years ago, when I bought this exact model. As with all things Apple, the ROI is excellent.

One thing to watch out for is that mesh on the upper band becomes weaker over time and it becomes much less comfortable for long stretches (for me anyway). If that happens to you I'd recommend something like this as a good way to improve the comfort: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XP8FTKX

It took me a while to get comfortable with them. They were clamping too hard on my head. That feeling went away after a few weeks. I’m pretty happy with them now.

I’ve heard that there’s Bose options at a better value and very similar performance/features. Although I fall for their easy wireless connection-routine to iPhones with any first party hardware

If you used AirPods Pro’s in the past, how does it compare in noise canceling? AirPod pros I feel are getting worse and worse over time.

I really like the max. I don’t use my AirPods Pro anymore, they’re good but battery issues and the dorky look turned me off.
I use beyerdynamic freebies as my pocket headphones and really like them. Amazing sound quality.
