So I've been doing a little reading about monero. One of the big issues seems to be the Blockchain size. Are there any plans to address this? If so can you point me to some reading?

L2s are possible with FCMP upgrade coming out this year. But right now there is no problem and there might never be. All depends on rate of adoption. Even assuming nothing else changes (protocol improvements or general tech advances) we have roughly 100x wiggle room to work with right now before problems start emerging.
10 TB is less than $200. Monero is at 250-300 GB.
you can also go with monero pruned blockchain which is around 80gb
