What I think helps is to smoke up until you’re ready to go to sleep. Smoke your last cigarette, put on a patch, go to sleep.

If you wait to out a patch on until morning, you’ll be grinding your teeth all day and probably won’t have any success. The way I recommended allows you to wake up and start your day without nicotine withdrawal.

Maybe I'll give that a try. I have some patches left from the last time I tried to quit. As it is, I replaced vaping with pouches a few weeks ago because that's a more slow and steady delivery of nicotine that's less addictive than inhaling nicotine. When I was vaping I would just puff and puff and puff all day long. I realized I was going through about 3 packs of cigarettes worth of nicotine a day doing that. I would take my vape to bed with me so that I could wake up in the middle of the night and puff on it.
