My sister with 5 children are coming to visit for Thanksgiving. I am going to slowly stack a little bit for my two oldest nieces over the next 2 months. <3 I will set them up with Zeus and wallets on my node, just like my kids. Their cousins, my kids, are already orange pilled so it should be pretty easy to get them on-board. I can't wait to surprise them with this.

Mine are 12 and 14. My nieces referenced here are 11 and 14. That's the perfect age IMO.
My nephew is 9. Maybe I’ll start telling him if he keeps an accounting of my swear jar fees I’ll gladly pay them in sats.
We do need some rules about what constitutes a swear jar contribution. I’m not paying when a song or movie has the random curse.
so i’m new to zeus and lightning so forgive me if this is a dumb question but how does this work? if they setup wallets connected to your node, are they not just spending your coins? or do you have separate nodes for family members like that?
I use LNbits with LNDHub. It's essentially an accounting system for my node. All sats are still "mine" on my node and not separate. But on the LNBits side, I see all wallets and all separate balances. Each wallet or user can only spend from their own wallet. This allows me to handle the technical side of things for them. I'm their custodian. And, I'm not going to rug my kids or nieces.
I'm essentially rinning my own GetAlby for my family.
