Nit: while I'm pretty excited at the prospect of thorium reactors, I'd suggest nothing has a near infinite reward.

[rolls eyes] 😆 Sure, i use hyperbole only to call attention to how ridiculous it is to compare it to the longevity of our current dominant energy sources because its literally measurable in 10s of thousands of years with merely what we currently know is economically retrievable.

Thorium has much promise but there are serious costs in refinement and the building costs of reactors.

So there's no market solution for this technology, and too many people are prejudiced against left wing collectivism which may be the only way to raise the funds.

My understanding is Copenhagen Atomics is pursuing thorium reactors that consume otherwise discarded today nuclear waste.

From zero (0) to megawatts of electricity from waste is infinite yield if CA gets this to work.
