Check out the POMC gene. It’s stimulated by UV light. The POMC gene manufactures dopamine, melatonin, and beta-endorphins, among other things — POMC is only stimulated by UV light (or Ozempic). I just started asking the question- if the sun is dangerous, then why do we have all these things in our skin (and eye) that respond so positively to it?

No. If it did, Im asking about periodic use to prevent burn, not bathing in it 24/7.

Even water has a lethal dose. Just because something is good and necessary for life doesn’t mean no amount or exposure can be harmful.
