Single white mother with three mixed race kids, no father, one is female to male trans. Nice enough mom, clearly has a stressful life. The trans kid practices flying the Palestinian flag in our front lawn.
People can be nice on the surface, but without shared values, culture, and ideology, you always have to be thoughtful and situationally aware.

My enemies, i.e. the factors keeping me from making life good for myself, my family, and those around me, are all the -cracies and -archies intruding on my affairs: bureaucracy, autocracy, oligarchy, democracy, and all the other nonsense people use to impose their will on others without their consent.
Everyone should be king or queen of their own body, mind, and personal affairs.

I’m trying really hard to abide by this but
Two things can be true:
1. This is being orchestrated by the government.
2. Your neighbor is fully MK ultra’d and cannot accept the same stance that we are not enemies.
#2 makes you extremely vulnerable if you can’t come to grips with this.

They certainly have the capacity to be based on history. In Mao’s cultual revolution kids turned their own parents over to Mao's Red Guard. Chinese leader Xi supposedly turned his parents in.
Mao's Chinese Cultural Revolution was carried out by fanatical youth encouraged to smash, beat, torture, and murder for the sake of destroying the "old" customs, culture, habits, and ideas. Sound familiar?
