#DeltaChat evolved according to needs of people under repression and continues to do so. The more ignorant and exchangeable we make #chatmail relays, the less their operators have to worry. Having metadata-less, fast and cheap instant messaging relays, that can also operate when 99% of the Internet vanishes in a region, is a key goal. Some way to go still but, already now, is there any other real-world solution that provides better service in internet-repressed regions in 2025?

I started using Delta chat with my inner circle and absolutely loving it.

I am using "session" with my daughter. If I start to persuade broader family, what is your suggestion? Session? SimpleX? Deltachat? Or stay with Signal due to best network effect?

Did all depends on your use case friend. I don't like signal because it requires a SIM card and a telephone number.

I mean, that's basically one of the strongest way to identify a device.

Simple X doesn't allow you to have two devices using the same profile. Not sure about session on this one.

Delta chat is super easy, but I'm not quite sure on the encryption. I have to admit it's very easy to use, so that's what I'm using right now.
