Fix this generator in the RV or just buy a 800w solar kit and use this space for more batteries?

Fix if possible, replace if necessary. Converting purely to solar and batteries may limit your utility

Get an 2000w small Honda or Yamaha, them stock gen's are loud use alot of fuel and expensive to work on. Also yes to solar.

I already bought the solar kit. Batteries on the list. Having been through tornadoes, several hurricanes, and earthquakes, and the aftermath, my experience tells me that the fuel of any type hard to come by.

Solar and batteries.

Or, get a small, quiet 2000w for times you aren't getting enough sun to charge the batteries and use that space for more batteries.

Get LiFePo batteries, unless you plan to be in areas with severely cold temps. They're spendy up-front, but are cheaper to use than other battery types, so you end up saving money in the end. Plus, they're very safe compared to Li-ion.
