Good morning. ๐ŸŒž

Friday handstand... Making progress. Held for 3 seconds!!

I realize that doesn't sound like a long time, but it's progress from 1 second a week ago.. after only 10 minutes a day of practice.... And the funny thing is that 90% of the practice is watching the video and reflecting on what went right and what needs improvement. ๐Ÿค”

I tried uploading the video to nostrbuild but it didn't like the format. So here's a screenshot of the balancing part.

I'm gonna keep doing this until I turn 61.... in August.

Come join me as your time permits and drop a picture, or note a thought from your practice, and tag #practicehandstand

I've been practicing yoga for 30 years, but never focused on handstand. If you're new to handstand, don't get discouraged....keep throwing your legs against the wall ๐Ÿ˜‚

If you're experienced at handstand, jump in with your tips and inspirational photos!!

The full 53 seconds of practice is uploaded on my story in Instagram @yogawithlois

good morning! I will join you! โ™ฅ๏ธ

Good morning Pollyanna. Thanks for practicing with me ๐Ÿ™Œ

Have you done yoga or handstand before?

when I was a child I used to put a mattress in the middle of my mom's living room, put a CD to play and started to discover some positions my body could handle. I had never heard of yoga that time. later my mother took me to Olympic gymnastics classes and it was nice, but I left after two years, I guess. but handstand was something that I always felt like doing after that.

later, I took Kundalini yoga classes when I was preparing for the conception of my kids, in 2017. two years ago I started circus classes and it was very nice, I practiced handstand a little bit, but I wish I had practiced so much more. they had classes just for that, but I couldn't make it. I took only a few months of classes and I also left.

last year I had like 4 yoga classes, of vinyasa flow - and that was something that really touched me, but that was all.

I don't really know when or why but handstand is something I feel like doing so often, but I never do. I always supress that. when I read your proposal I thought it could be the perfect excuse for me to practice.

I'm sorry I wrote so much. if it bothers you please let me know.

Hi Pollyanna. Thanks for sharing your beautiful story. It deeply resonates with me.

I remember practicing crow pose and doing nauli kriya at a young age with other neighborhood kids lol.

Like you, I too have had this on again off again fascination with handstand. So yes, I do believe now is the time.

Let's go!! :-)
