I would probably have given up on dinner, maybe not just for the knife incident but after the spice rack, which is as clear a sign there can be that the kitchen is out to get you tonight. A second-degree burn may be in your future. You have been warned.

It's not just dinner. I'm making foot for the week. I've got a giant pot of Louisiana Red Beans & Rice cooking. I think if I stay out of the kitchen while it simmers for the next hour and half, I'll be good. Then I just have to kill the heat and move it off the burner. Then I can go. And I'll keep my head up for any additional damage the kitchen wants to inflict on me. 👍
Sounds delicious, except for the possible blood spatter.
Make sure to put your recipe on nostr:npub1xxdd8eusvdxmaph3fkuu9x2mymhrcc3ghe2l38zv0l4f4nqp659qskkt7a but not tonight. #foodstr #bloodstr
Lol no! My knives are sharp AF. When I cut my finger it took like 30 seconds to start bleeding, and by that time I was already at the sink with cold water running over it. Definitely no blood got near the food.
FYI, this recipe is already on Zap.cooking! It's one of my cherished recipes and one of the first ones I posted.
Nice, Aidelle’s is good. I’m going to check with my friend who works at a butcher shop downtown and see what he can score for me on his employee discount.
The Silva's Andouille from Whole Foods is also very good. A little more expensive than the Aidelle's, but it's got great flavor, and is all natural like Aidelle's. Otherwise, you gotta buy from Cajun Grocer but the shipping is like $70 because they only do FedEx overnight with dry ice packing. So if you want to buy an $8 sausage, it costs you almost $80. You've gotta buy like 24 sausages in order for it make sense.
