Let me make a prediction: OpenAI will not play any significant role in the AI future. Meta and Google have way more chance than OpenAi will ever have. Even Microsoft is partnering with other AI startups.

They know this, that's why they started this new con.

Makes sense

Additionally, Worldcoin is stupid and will fail spectacularly.

This is the same conclusion I came to, if Facebook put out an open source llm then what incentive does Microsoft have to use openai? If openai is so big why would altman release a shitcoin, especially in this environment with the SEC? I think llama will evolve much quicker and be less annoying, but it is going to take some time since Microsoft is still heavy in openai, make no mistake they have a lot of physical infrastructure running openai right now.

I haven't looked at any figures, but I assume any existing Big Tech company could buy-out OpenAI several times over. If so, that outcome is the highest probably. If the owner of OpenAI prefers power over money, they may stick it out to see if they can become a long-term plauer too. Personally, I think that's a losing move unless they have something big behind the scenes that they haven't revealed yet.

You mean the coin and Orb? What do you think about decentralized and open source ai systems in the near future? I mean alternative to Meta and Google.

I am very bullish on open-source AI systems, and I must say meta is doing the right thing far better than anyone else. All its models are open source.

But it's not enough; open-source developers have to come together to liberate AI from big tech.

Sounds like a quest and important one! I feel that it can be done.
