The only thing this reply guy bot has achieved is to furthermore prove Nostr works. I posted a meme and it instantly received 50+ bot replies from multiple relays and they all instantly showed up in my client. No lag or delay whatsoever. Fuck the spammer, but wow, Nostr works amazingly well.

yeah, not sure what the spammers goal here is. I guess its causing devs to consider ways to hide spam from the thread / replies section in clients
So far Primal has been the most affected for me, but manually muting the bots seems to have hidden them all now. Damus allows muted words/phrases and Nostur has WoT filtering that seems to work well.
This is not a difficult job for devs because this reply bot is not so sophisticated and easy to track it back.
yeah, but that would only fix this wave of spam. the trick is figuring out what tools to build so users can manage the spam themselves

I’m not sure the exact way he calculates it, but it filters through your follows and their follows, depending how strict the user sets it. Unless someone I follow is also following a spam bot, then I don’t see the replies.
Some spammer think he had invented the warm water with a simple reply bot. Congrats :-)
