https://www.securemessagingapps.com has updated its review of SimpleX, as you can see, SimpleX is now the highest rated application overall, the most private and the most cryptographically robust.

Not that it was necessary for it to appear on this website, I have been warning about it for a long time, but in his first review in March 2024 the author of the website made an incorrect analysis of SimpleX.

To highlight that it is the only one along with Signal i iMessage that have encryption resistant to quantum computation (this take it with tweezers, the explanation would be very long).

The application does not collect contact information, unlike Signal and Threema, and no contact information is sent that can be associated with metadata, unlike Signal or Threema.

Completely opensource server, unlike Threema which is closed.

It is not dependent on any phone number, unlike Signal.

I don't think there is a better option than SimpleX at the moment, if we talk about the privacy, data leakage, and metadata issues that others have.

If we talk about UX, it's a different issue 👍 👍

This points system is punishing apps for for completely avoiding privacy/security problems. If it's not applicable then it should be counted as green, such as:

-Do you get notified if a contact's fingerprint changes?

-Is personal information (mobile number, contact list, etc.) hashed?

-Are messages encrypted when backed up to the cloud?

Their irrelevant, arbitrary point system is straight-up bullshit that doesn't tell you which app is actually better. It's incredibly irresponsable to promote such a wildly unscientific approach to evaluating private messaging apps. These people should be ashamed of themselves for misleading people with this dog shit.

And SimpleX is just second best.... apart from the fact that Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates are invested in SimpleX!
