Dude, League of Legends was an entirely free game that made boatloads off selling skins.

This is a great idea that some should try. Profile “skins” and badges based on project support would be really interesting. Could revive badges too if they could be given/taken based on a length of time or status of support for a certain project or client.

This is a social network, I think exploring ways to monetize social signaling is actually a smart strategy.

This is a really great video on how league dominated the gaming scene with their monetization strategy.

Freemium is the best model for most software imo. Nostr and bitcoin almost have to do this model without compromising on ethics.
