Yeah the climate stuff is definitely something that led me to believe that if Greer really believes this stuff, then his whole framing of the problem is bollocks or he took money from the green lobby to make the doccie so he had to give them a hat tip somehow lol (in addition to the reasons you stated). Either way, it almost ruined what was an almost perfect doccie. I know Greer is a UFO/Alien guy, but i think that, that's a cover story for the most part for concealing this advanced tech and add a layer of mysticism around the whole thing. What's your take on that? Especially considering that in the 70s the Rand Corporation put out the following paper :

I actually think that Power is the first incentive, then financial and national security rah rah last. Slight deviation from your outline and here's why i look at it this way. Power > Money imho, though the two are intertwined. Central banks today control the money supply because that's the source of their power, which they use to control every other resource on the planet; with money being the means to an end. It's an overly simplified framework, but bear with me for now. Assuming that model to be true, energy being the chief economic input in an industrialized world; whoever is able to produce and harness a ton of it more than everyone else not only has a power advantage but a monetary one as well. Most of the jobs today would definitely disappear once you unleash "free energy" but a ton more jobs would also be created, probably more than what was lost. More so when you consider the positive correlation between energy production and economic prosperity.
The problem is once the cat is out of the bag, it won't be long before the "enemies of the west" (Russians, Chinese, Ayatollahs etc.,) reverse engineer this tech and catch on, which means the liberal world order will not be able to sanction these regimes as it could before (e.g. once North Korea got nukes they couldn't be bullied anymore). I think to the powers that be, who care nothing for national politics, an energy abundant world represents a world they can't control, in the same way that they despise Bitcoin because it takes away their power to print at will. You and I both know that while a lot of fiat industries and institutions would die when the world would be on a btc standard, on balance the world will definitely be better off without fiat. Thank you for the additional link, will also add it to my playlist and revert.
