So it's still free, but you just have to log in?

Still feels like I should work towards setting up my own Blossom server though. 🤔

I'd rather pay to host my own content so I never have to worry about using a service that becomes paid somewhere down the road due to operational costs.

It used to be free to the world, non-nostr people were abusing the service, now it’s just free to Nostr people. Still fair. Hosting your own server is highly recommended, please feel free to use any of our code on GitHub.

If I already have a shared web hosting server, can I simply deploy it there? Doesn’t seem like I need to use AWS if it’s just for my own content?
