I think the element of handwriting that I love the most is that no matter how "good" or "bad" it is, it's yours. Nobody else has your handwriting and after you're gone, it could be one of the few things left over for your family.
Writing with a fountain pen has encouraged me to take efforts to "improve" my own handwriting as the experience of writing with one is much nicer than a rollerball. I've made a few small changes to start and we'll see where it goes from here.
Believe it or not, I would love to see your handwriting. I've had a few people send me images of their handwriting and it's a small gift that I quite enjoy.
*has idea*
My handwriting is totally different, and better, with a fountain pen -- any fountain pen, pratically -- than any other type of pen.
Well I love that very much. Do you have a favorite pen?
You're my favorite pen as well.

Not really, I've had several along the way, mostly on the lower end: Crown, Parker, etc. Right now, I'm using a plastic Pilot VPen (disposable, horrors!), which works fine.
Your post of your newest did whet my appetite for one, however.
Very interesting! I wonder if you stepped up to a Lamy Safari or equivalent maybe you would find you like it enough to hold onto it longer?
I've honestly not tried the disposable pens.
