I want to know how much of cashu and fedi is compatible.
The way I understand it, cashu is lightning only and single owner but this makes it faster and easier to develop for... So they focus on fast innovation.
Fedi is more focused on custodianship, backups, derisking etc.
If you consider Fedi focusing on the bottom and cashu focusing on the top, it feels like these things can come together and produce a killer product in the future.
Curious if that's something that's been considered/discussed.
yes. you got that right. There is lots of collaboration between Fedimint devs and Cashu devs. Each can tackle their own use cases and abstract the complexities for the user. In future, you will have a wallet than can access and store tokens/sats in both cashu and fedimints and as a user you will not see the difference other than making the choice of which mint to use for what purpose.
