Nic is partially right, but him fighting the maxis like they are the enemy is the wrong position. His feelings are getting in the way.
Exactly he’s feelings have been hurt and that’s where this comes from
Nic Carter is a smart person for dumb people. He thinks for them since they are incapable of seeing reality for what it is and then leads them to assumptions that aren’t true/or misleading.
Nic’s feelings have been hurt and he’s still trying to process the pain
I agree Bitcoin is a tool, BUT a tool with certain properties that incentivizes certain behaviors, which many people value greatly as they deem them good for society.
Nic is the soy boy from the memes. The shower is the only time he gets his dick wet which explains all his pent up anger and frustration.
Nic used to be cool but then he got co-opted by the legacy system. He has no choice but to be a shitcoiner for life.
First thought man i love directness
This was a post with very little substance
Only argueing cb and binance did a lot for adoption and bitcoiners need to realize the market wants more than just bitcoin.
The other 900 words are there to make it sound more insightfull and edgy than it is
Imo
Slightly adding to this that i am just sumarizing not agreeing with him,
Some good points to consider, ultimately just another perspective/opinion. We all got ‘em, the beautiful part Bitcoin chugs on without hurt feelings.
My two sats:
I don’t love having a sole focus on bitcoin be equated with zealotry.
I’m here for a few things:
1.) decentralized
2.) store of value
3.) medium of exchange
I’ve used ETH and wanted it to work so badly. But it was not intended to benefit me — I’m just too poor.
Before the layer 2 solutions were deployed, the fees would reliably revert any gains I could eek out. Afterward, it was a game of trying to spread capital thinly across whatever the hottest layer 2 network happened to be that week. The last straw was the move to PoS — a system designed to privilege those who already had the most.
So, no. I don’t stack bitcoin now because of groupthink or brainwashing. I’m just tired of the gambling and the victory lap for billionaires. I want to work for my money and have it be worth something regardless who I am and how much I hold or how I choose to spend it. Just really good money.
If you have something other than bitcoin that can do that, please let us know.
It’s not that other projects aren’t interesting, it’s simply that the majority of people don’t have enough wealth for this to be a game for us. We are not “playing the field”. I cannot afford to consider and invest in “sort-of decentralized” tokens. It’s simply not worth my attention, which is more limited than I would like.
I don’t fault people for being more diversified and exploring crypto networks. There are some interesting ideas for sure. But they are just interesting ideas in search of a problem to solve.
