I know that getting a link with a DM is a little dicey and we are thinking about better ways to handle this. One of the reasons we chose a link to our site (instead of letting you generate an invoice by DM) is to give you one more place to verify authenticity.

You can always check the following to make sure a message we send is indeed from our #[0]:

1. You can validate it’s NIP-05 (https://nostr.wine/.well-known/nostr.json)

2. You can verify the link it is sending you is indeed to our https://nostr.wine website.

3. You can check our relay NIP-11 and validate that #[1] is indeed the “admin pubkey” for ALL of our nostr.wine relays.

💡 like #[4] did, as soon as I submitted my npub into their online waitlist, I got a DM. Maybe send DMs from this account as soon as folks register so the renewal message comes as a reply in an ongoing conversation?

We do now! You get a welcome message (with a Cheers!) from #[2] and another message when you extend your account time.

Unfortuantely, all these features are new and most of our users joined before they existed!

#[1] is automatically blocked on my end. I'm using Amethyst.

I never block it it's just blocked suddenly somehow.

Maybe because it was mistaken as spam?

Not much I can do about it really. I don’t really want to bug Vitor again, especially if its because people reported the DMs. If you want to make sure you receive the messages you can follow #[2], that prevents Amethyst from auto blocking it.

I don’t see any reports on my follower list, but that doesn’t mean much.

#[5] Did you check the requests list in DMs? I’m sure you did, but it’s worth asking.

It does appear in request list in DM.

When I open wino profile then I see that wino is suddenly blocked and the DM is gone

I try to unblock but it block it again. I had this problem in Amethyst before where I have to switch client to properly unblock

You should be able to unblock and then follow the account. If you do that, it should not auto block it again. Not a solution for everyone, but should work for you?

Just out of curiosity, after you have tried what #[8] suggested, when you look at the #[4] profile, do any reports show here?

Don't post them please, just curious if there are any, as my understanding of how that's supposed to work is it is only based on people you follow. If not, it might be a bug.

I'm opening on nostr now.. its not blocked, I can see the DM. now I'm following Wino already.

not on my phone right now. currently on FIAT Mine meeting.. will let you know if it solve it on amethyst as well

It's still blocked on Amethyst. Seems cached.

I close amethyst then reopen after I follow wino on snort. Now it's fixed. I see the DM on amethyst too

Unfortunately it seems like Amethyst is blocking the account at an application level right now, not actually putting it in your mute/block list.

We may have triggered some of #[6] automated spam filters with the DMs tonight. Will wait for him to provide more info when he has free time.
