Many people consider the word charity a bad word because there is an expectation that the government should fix everything instead of individuals stepping up to donate time and money to causes they believe in.

Unfortunately we don’t live in a perfect world thankfully there’s Walgreens…

Charity is rooted in the Greek word 'charis', translated directly grace. The meaning of the word conveys a gift or kindness that wasn't at all deserved or earned. Unfortunately, our own common perception of the word is influenced by our contemporary Western exposure to its uses: socialistic government efforts, the formal work of NGOs, celebrity ego-inflating philanthropy...

If the government stopped stealing our money then we would have more to give.
