Parenting really changes you. Today I took us off our path to get stuck in a railroad crossing so the kids could watch the train. In a way you get to live again through their wonder.

I often will watch some of my favorite films, or go to my favorite places and wish that I could experience them again but for the first time. That I could go into it with total amnesia and get to enjoy all its wonder with new eyes.
Being a father basically lets you do this. You see everything from a completely different perspective and you often look at things as if you’ve never seen them before, trying to see what your child sees.
Children are an atomic bomb of potential. It's exciting to see what adventures and new discoveries they make. Their eyes lit up with wonder and amazement at each one.
