purple crying/witching hour is a thing so don't be discouraged when it happens.

breastfeeding is a co-op game in the beginning. help mom get into comfy positions, be on standby with snacks and water. if she's pumping, you are washing all the parts, every time, no questions asked.

that said, fed is best. don't let anyone make you or your wife feel bad about feeding formula.

skin to skin contact with dad. tummy time on Dad's chest is really good. flat, broad, warm and no boobies distractions.

don't be discouraged if you can't settle or soothe as well as mom can. keep at it.
