After many months of trying, my wife and I have decided to end our search for a suitable property in the area we live

It's been such a test

Intensely frustrating at times

And not for lack of trying

BUT, out of your biggest problems, can come your biggest opportunities...

SO

We've thought f*ck it let's go travelling as a family of 5. Yup, we're going to hit the road!

Very exciting

Enjoy! There's so much out there to experience. Hopefully by the time you're done, real estate will be demonetized and back to reasonable prices.

Haha. Let’s see! But that would be bloody nice. Purchasing power 10x from here please πŸ’ͺ🏻

That is a great project. Hope your journey will be great !

Yeah it’s a great book. Really inspiring guy

LFG share the journey on Nostr πŸ’œπŸ«‚ wishing you a happy time

Appreciate the support! Will certainly share some of it

Amazing! What are your thoughts about doing it as a family of 5?

Well it’ll be a real test. Initially just shooting for a month or 2. But who knows where it wil take us

Each day we will try not to do too much as the kids are still small

Step by Step! :-)

Drove all over the US with my wife and three littles in 2023. We've done our fare share of flying too. It is challenging and great. Travel takes more preparation with a family, but its also more rewarding.

This is a very inspiring decision. Especially when you have a family of 5, there is quite a lot of responsability. I look up to families who travel long term. It needs courage. It demands patients and what not... I have no experience with that, so i look closely ❀️

Satlantis is just in time ;)

Exactly! Something about the comments you made of β€œindependent living” has really stirred something in me

You won’t regret it! ❀️

Exciting times πŸ«‚

A smart move, don't be exit liquidity for the boomer banking class

At this point, just expatriate.

That's probably your best option.

Bitcoin Family 2.0 just dropped! πŸ₯³πŸ€™

One of the best things we ever did. Congrats. No regrets.

That was my youth. Traveled around the world about three times before the age of 10. Your kids are going to love it.

Piece of advice: reserving your lodging in advance with young kids isn’t sustainable. The kids will need a break when they need it, schedules be damned. If any of your adventures bring you to the U.S., learn to love KOA (Kamp Across America). Find similar types of accommodations elsewhere, when possible as well. Having flexible essentially on-demand lodging, playgrounds, pools, laundry mats every couple miles is a godsend I learned of when I moved back to the continent.
