Let's try to see if I can put Nostr to work:

I'll send sats to every valid suggestion.

If you were giving out 3 awards for bitcoin that were technical in nature, which categories would you come up with?

Bonus sats if you come up with 4 candidates for your proposed achievement categories.

Bonus category: UI/UX design

I'm failing to zap you

Looks like it worked.

Privacy

For me, something that is as non technical as possible - Beginner Guides for Bitcoin, Wallets, Nostr.

I struggled to learn everyday, didn’t get a hard wallet for months. Maybe the resources are there, but I didn’t find them all.

1) privacy improvements (tor, i2p, silent payments, e-cash)

2) scaling (non-custodial ln node in phone that is a wallet and just works, Ark, e-cash)

3) bringing shitcoiners to btc (ordinals, runes etc)

i zapped you, but it doesn't seem to be showing up on the ui

From which wallet?

best dlc-integrated application

best ecash-integrated application

best nostr-integrated application

- see: anything elle mouton puts on her blog https://ellemouton.com/

best usability improvement

- could be static addresses, fixing force closes, removing the need to run a server, etc.

see: josibake silent payments, glozow TRUC transactions, calle cashu

free-est freedom tech

- biggest improvements in censorship resistance, trustlessness, decentralization, etc.

I THINK YOU HAVE TO GIVE AWARDS FOR PRIVACY, NETWORK EFFECT, INCENTIVE, AND MAYBE ALIGNMENT???

Sustainable Mining Award

Strengthening Node Award

Privacy Focused Development Award

Odell for his self custody recommendations, NVK for making the best damn hardware wallets out there, and Craig Raw for being a one man desktop wallet king.

my zap is failing

- onboarding and usability

- mining decentralization

- scalability

* "in the trenches": bitcoin core

- gloria

- that fuzzer guy I keep forgetting the name of, he's German

- fanquake

* "mad scientist": novel new protocol stuff

- Robin Linus with BitVM

- Rusty with The Great Script Restoration (maybe a misnomer but the generalized cost function idea is novel work)

- Jonas Nick (with Veronika if I'm not mistaken) (et al?) with Shielded CSV

- Josie Bake with Silent Payments

* "user go up": getting stuff in the hands of users

- Rust for bolt12

- Silent Payments could also fit here

- Luke Childs of Umbrel

Rough ideas, keep your sats 😅
