If I wanted to start building on bitcoin (hardware/software/products) where would you start?
Asking for someone with limited python experience from the civil engineering world (mainly handling of data).

I started learning Python a few years ago and made the Nodeyez project with it (see https://nodeyez.com). It's a set of scripts that can be run as services that process data from the node or API calls and generates visualizations to show on a dashboard or an attached screen.
Nodeyez, like most open source projects can always use more help with coding, docs, testing, UI, marketing etc.
is there anything specific you want to build?
I want to start learning the basics first. I don’t have anything specific in mind yet, maybe start with custom solutions for family and friends. Specific LN and wallet solutions, Fedimint federation (if possible already).. then maybe some custom hardware building (i have in mind LNbits for this)
Not necessarily something to build directly on Bitcoin, but I think a marketplace like eBay or Facebook Marketplace would be super beneficial. It would allow people to earn sats as well as spend them, which is crucial for a Bitcoin circular economy. I've actually been looking into building a marketplace for vegetable seeds to decentralize the food supply.
