Holy shit so i was doing some research on processed foods for the last 2 hours and i found out that the largest shareholders of beyond meat as well as other vegan meat alternatives are really heavily invested in the healthcare industry and these heavily processed fake meats have lots of potentially harmful ingredients in them so what if they invest in fake meats to get more people to eat them so then more people get heart disease and thus need healthcare which they also make money from then they can get the healthcare companies to promote these fake meats as being “healthy” even if they aren’t
most customers are still paying in fiat but i’ve noticed a shift starting
it has definitely started im a full time market gardener and i already sell some produce to a few people for bitcoin
not everyone buys locally or grows their own food yet but the day will come 🤷♂️
and yet we are still so reliant on them, bitcoin is a step in the right direction but the money supply is only one part we also need to encourage more self reliance with food and water

Not necessarily something to build directly on Bitcoin, but I think a marketplace like eBay or Facebook Marketplace would be super beneficial. It would allow people to earn sats as well as spend them, which is crucial for a Bitcoin circular economy. I've actually been looking into building a marketplace for vegetable seeds to decentralize the food supply.
