Has anyone made some sort of Nostr dating app? Every single guy I talk to seems very frustrated with the centralized dating apps that currently exist. Wouldn't one that isn't so exploitive do better?
But then again, the big problem to solve is, how do you get the single women on here?

That's not going to work until you have massive user adoption. Without a lot of users, your matches will not be geo local. Perhaps the dating nostr app can be the big on board we e been looking for though.

The problem is the destruction of the dating market, not the app. Women go to dating apps for validation, not to find a partner. The incentives are broken and there's no fix. You can't force women to reply for obvious reasons.

Agreed … digital technology isn’t required nor adds much value for most social aspects of life.
In 2024 the perfect girl is not in church but at home discussing about "how good is to go to church" or "how fed is bad" sending markup docs to strangers.
Just don't assume church implies trad wife. Some women go to church and aren't feminine.

What is a nostr dating app? If it's an app and not a protocol, what do you need nostr for? A dating app but with nostr login?
Maybe something like "Bang with Friends" but with some fancy crypto such that third parties can't figure out what's going on?
If you make it a protocol, you won't have the direct financial incentive to develop it. Of course, you could tap into the nostr social connections to offer these matches in a centralized DB that you could monetize. If you just want to see it happen on nostr, poke DOWN to do on nostr what they stopped doing on Facebook ;)

Hahaha it's the single woman problem
The main problem for any dating or otherwise matching app (Uber, AirBnB, MyHammer, ...) is to get a sufficient density in any one location. Also most dating apps are inundated by hookers and horny men and kept engaging for the latter by bots. How could you possibly fix that with nostr?
It would need to be kept somewhat separate from the nostr social media/twitterclone universe
