nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s when will “persistence” of our actions on Damus come into effect?

After a very brief amount of time I do not see my likes, or zaps on someones note. However I often can still see that I retweeted that note.

Even others notes that I have not zapped. I have to go in and click on the zaps etc to see that they got some, how much.

I am on latest Damus test flight. (I believe it has always been like this for a year or so). Thank you for your good work sir. 🫡

Or looking at anyones popular notes and it shows say 3 likes and no zaps. But if I click on that note they have say 27 likes and a few zaps.

In notice this a lot. Zaps I send from other clients don’t often show up in Damus.

Yeah, same here.

Persistence is pending nostrdb updates.

Soon ™️

This likely means the zapper is sending invalid zaps

Here’s an example. I zapped this note ⚡️84 via Primal. In Primal it shows my zap was sent but when I view it on Damus I don’t see it.

If I have a zap note id I could see whats up.

It’s possible they are only sending the zaps to their relay? Thats a common mistake, or the zaps themselves are invalid.

Checked here and I don’t see any record of it. But my wallet on Primal says it was sent. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The lack of persistence seems to be pretty consistent across all apps. My rudimentary understanding tells me it's a relay level issue that is difficult to solve without a bunch of centralization.

It’s difficult but not impossible. Once damus switches over to its local relay for queries then everything will be persistent and things already fetched will load instantly everywhere.

It’s the main thing I’m working on right now. Notes are actually persisted already, it’s just not queried locally yet.
