I don't know what really happens when you delete, but I just tried to take nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx's handle and couldn't. It's been over a month already.
I have a handle I deleted in 2019, and itās still unavailable.
