if ever i can remember to be grateful for working organs, legs, fingers and toes, a face, arms to speak of etc.... while in the midst of a downspell, and I kneel down and give thanks for all of those many things that money can never buy, it seems to help quite a bit in centering the locus of control between self and God rather than being whipped around by perceived shortcomings of other people...
Yes and remember to give ourselves some grace for our mistakes, shortcomings and misfortunes we are all imperfect after all.
