That sucks. Good par stock management and overall stock management can help reducing such terrible waste. My friends work with mostly local produce and their range of meats. They run a very tight kitchen and basically get daily deliveries and produce upon order. It's a very good place. But yes, I also hate throwing food away. I don't buy food to throw it away.
